It would be much more efficient if we had a dedicated section for family communication, similar to the professional visits section, where we can document updates for families about residents, especially regarding specific events. Currently, we have a support plan, but it can be ineffective when we need to refer back to a particular detail in the family communication. In the family communication section of the support plan, we can outline how we contact the family and how we assist the resident in contacting their family. However, having something similar to the professional visit section for family communication would be much more helpful.
